Total Eclipse

Good evening! Today was the total eclipse day. Could you see it? Regretfully, I coudn't see it. I wanted to see it so much!
I didn't know about the total eclipse, so I searched it well.

It was visible from a narrow corridor through northern Maldives, northern Pakistan and northern India, eastern Nepal, northern Bangladesh, Bhutan, northern Philippines, the northern tip of Myanmar, central China and the Pacific Ocean, including the Ryukyu Islands, Marshall Islands and Kiribati.
Totality was visible in many large cities, including Surat, Vadodara, Bhopal, Varanasi, Patna, Gaya, Dinajpur, Siliguri, Tawang, Guwahati, Chengdu, Nanchong, Chongqing, Yochang, Jingzhou, Wuhan, Huanggang, hefei, Hangzhou, Wuxi, Huzhou, Suzhou, Jiaxing, Ningbo and Shanghai, as well as over the Three Goeges Dam. According to some experts, Taregana in Bihar, India was expected to be the "best" place to view the event.
A partial eclipse was seen from the much broader path of the Moon's penumbra, including most of Southeast Asia (all of India and China) and north-eastern Oceania. (162words/8799words)

Harry Potter and the Half-Blood Prince

Yesterday, I watched a movie “Harry Potter and the Half-Blood Prince” with my mother and sister. I love Haryy Potter series, so I was looking forward to watch it after I watched “Harry Potter and the Order of the Phoenix”. I didn't have read the original, so I didn't know the story of the Half-Blood Prince. However, I could enjoy watching so much. It was fearful for me and this story is darker and darker, I think. Of corse, there were some interesting scene. But the last scene was surprising and I felt shock so much!! I didn't think such an ending like that. In addition, I felt little difficulty in this series. Because the ending unexpected, I want to watch the next series “Harry Potter and the Deathly Hallows”. I can't wait to watch it!! The next series will relese on November 2010 and August 2011.

Also, I like actors and actresses of Harry Potter. Daniel Radcliffe is so cool! Ema Watson is beautiful and highbrow. Rupet Grint seems so tender. (173 words)

A Fright in the Night

Biff and Chip went to stay with Gran. They went to stay for a week. Gran's house was small. It had two bedrooms, so Biff and Chip had to sleep in the same bedroom. Gran took Biff and Chip for a walk. They went to the woods and pick some blackberries. “We can make some blackberry jam,” said Gran. They made nice jars of jam. The children loved Gran's house. It was very old. It had a big fireplace. Biff helped Gran light the fire and Chip helped Gran get some logs. “Do you have ghosts?” he asked. Gran laughed. “There are no such things,” she said. They sat by the fire. Gran made some toast. Biff wanted to try the new jam. Chip had a new game. It was called Haunted House. “Cay we play Haunted House, before we go to bed?” he asked. It was time for bed. “Is this house haunted?” asked Biff. “Don't worry,” laughed Gran. “I don't have ghost in my house. There are no such things.” But Biff and Chip cuoldn't sleep. Biff had an idea. She wanted to play a joke on Chip. She had a torch in the bed. Biff put the sheet over her head and switched on the torch. “Whooooooo! I am a ghost,” said Biff. Chip laughed. He wasn't frightened. He pulled the sheet off Biff. “That was a good joke,” he said. Then Biff and Chip heard a noise. “Whoooo! Whoooo!” “Oh no! It's a ghhost,” said Biff. Chip looked put of the window. “It's not a ghost! It's an owl,” he laughed. Biff and Chip looked outside. “Oh no! I can see a ghost. It is a ghost time!” said Chip. Biff and Chip ran to Gran's room but she wasn't in bed. They ran downstairs. “Gran ! Where are you? We've seen a ghost,” said Biff. But Gran wasn't downstairs. The door opened and Biff and Chip were frightened. “Oh no!” they said. Just then, Gran came in. “We were frightened,” said Chip. “You looked like a ghost.” Gran laughed. “I'm not a ghost,” she said. “I don't heve ghosts, but I do have two little monsteres!” (362 words/8464words)

Christmas Adventure

It was Christmas Eve. The children were excited, but Mom was hot and Dad was cross. Then, Wilf and Wilma came. They had presents for Biff, Chip and Kipper. Biff and Chip had presents for Wilf and Wilma. “Don't open them until tomorrow,” said Biff. The magic key began to glow. “It's time for a adventure,” said Chip. “I hope it's a Christmas adventure.” The magic key took the children to the land of Father Christmas. The children were excited. Thy all wanted special presents. They rang the door bell. They rang and rang, but nobody came to the door. The children looked for Father Christmas. They came to his house. “Maybe he's in here,” said Kipper. The children went inside. An old man was asleep in a chair. Biff looked at the date. “It's the 25th of December,” she said. “Father Christmas must be tired. He's been at work all night.” Suddenly, Father Christmas woke up. “What are you doing here?” he asked. “It's Christmas Day. Did I forget to call at you house?” Father Christmas hadn't put up his decorations. Father Christmas had no Christmas diner. “I didn't have time,” he said. “Children want so many presents.” The children were sorry for Father Christmas so they found a Christmas tree and put it up. Wilma and Chip made some strawberry jam sandwiches. Father Christmas found some lemonade and crackers. Father Christmas put on his red coat and he laughed just like “Ho! Ho! Ho!” Everyone cheered. “Thank you. Most children just want things, but you've given me a good Christmas.” Just then, the key began to glow. “Happy Christmas,” said everyone. “Good bye. Thank you for everything,” said Father Christmas. The magic took the children to their home. It was Christmas Eve again. “What else can we do to help?” asked Chip. (305 words/8107 words)

THE BOOKSTORE GHOST

Mr. Brown liked three things; ghost books, cheese, and cat. “I will buy a bookstore,” said Mr. Brown. And he did! He sold only ghost books. Then he said, “I need a friend. I will get a cat.” And he did! His cat was not like other cats. She did not like fish but she loved cheese. They lived above the bookstore. Mice lived in their house, too. One day, a woman came in to buy a book. She saw a mouse. “Eeeek!” She screamed. She ran out of the store. A man ran out, too. “The Black Cat Bookstore has mice,” they said. Nobody wanted to come to the store. “This is your job,” Mr. Brown told his cat. “You are the cat. You catch the mice.” But the cat said, “I am not like other cats. I like mice.” The cat and the mice played together. “If they do not come in to buy my books, I will have to close the store down. You have three days to catch the mice,” Mr. Brown told his cat. “Tomorrow is Day One.” The cat and mice have a plan. “This is a ghost bookstore, so it should be scary.” Day One came. A boy was walking by the store. CRASH! A book fell off a shelf. THUMP! Another book fell on the floor. He went into the store. CRASH! THUMP! More books fell. “The Black Cat Bookstore has a real ghost,” he said. Then his friends came into the store. Day Two came. The ghost was very busy. So was the store. Everyone wanted to see the ghost. The cat purred. Her plan was working. On Day Three, the store was busier than ever. At the end of the day, there was only one book left! “I will not have to close the store down after all,” said Mr. Brown to his cat. “Tonight, we will celebrate. We will have a cheese feast.” “I like my ghost, but I still don't like those mice. Have you caught them?” The cat purred. She rubbed against Mr. Brown's legs and waled away. “Shall I follow you?” he asked. He followed her to a bookshelf. “Maybe I will see my ghost,” he said. The mice waited for him and they pushed the last book off the shelf. CRASH! “I see,” said Mr. Brown. “Do ghost like cheese?” he asked the mice. Now they all live together. The store is always busy and Mr. Brown likes four things; ghost book, cheese, his cat...and his ghost! (422 words)

Percy and the Pirates

Percy Pike and his family lived on a farm by the sea. They spent all day working in their tiny field.. But there was never enough to eat. “I'll catch some fish and surprise everyone,” he thought. Percy rowed around the bay and started to fish. Percy waited... and waited... and waited... He got so tired og waiting, he fell asleep. Hours later, he woke up with wet feet. Percy's boat was so old, it had sprung a leak. Just then, he saw a ship. “Help!” he yelled. The ship came alongside Percy's boat. Percy grabbed a rope and pulled himself up and he climed on board. he saw who had rescue him. Suddenly, he didn't feel so lucky. Because it is a pirate ship, so Percy joined to them. After few days, Percy found a map of a placecalled Crab Island. He took a pen and drew on the map. They sailed all night. The next morning, they landed on Crab Island. The captain and Percy set off and followed the wiggly line on the map. Across the beach, around the lake, between the rocks, over the river, until they reached the waterfall. “Let me at that treasure,” cried captain Crook, grabbing the shovel. He dug down but the captain couldn't find any treasure. He tried to climb out of the hole, but he couldn't. “Help!” yelled Crook, however Percy wasn't listening. Percy ran over the river, between the rocks, around the lake, across the beach and back to the ship. Five days later, he arrived home. There in the port were all the ships that Crook had attacked, so Percy returned their treasures. Everyone was so grateful, they gave Percy a big reward. And the Pike family was never hungry again. STUART LITTLE -Stuart Hides out-

One day Stuart Little's mother, father, and brother, Geroge, went out. Stuart wasleft alone with the family cat, Snowbell. “We could have fun together,” Stuart said. “You know, like friends do.” “Please. I don't eat you for lumch. That is as I get with a mouse.” said Snowbell. “Let's play a game! How about a nice game of hide-and-seek,” said Stuart. “You hide, I'll seek,” said snowbell. “Hide-and-seek it is clode your eyes and count to one hundred!” stuart said. Snowbell closed his eyes and fell asleep. Stuart tried a few hiding places. Then he saw a flower vase high on a shelf. “That is a good hiding place and Snowbell will never find me!” said Stuart. He climed up onto the shelf and slide down into the vase. He sat down to wait. But in the flower vase it is not very comfotable, so Stuart thought “I think I'm the only one playing.” Stuart stretched his arms up but he could not reach the top of the vase. “Oh no!” cried Stuart. Snowbell woke up. After a while, Snowbell said, “I hope he doesn't hide for too long.” After another while, Snowbell said, “Wait. What am I doing even thinking about the mouse?” “I've really got to get out more.” “Nobody will ever find me in here,” said Stuart and began to rock back and forth. The vase tipped to one side. It tipped to the other side. Then it fell over and began to roll faster and faster toward the edge of the shelf. Luckily, Snowbell came back to the house. “Maybe I'll just have a small snack before going out,” he said. “Help!” Stuart yelled. Snowbell looked up and saw the vase rolling fast. He jumped onto the shelf and pounched on the vase just in time. Stuart crawled out of the vase and said, “Snowbell, you found me and thanks for saving me.” “Keep it yourself, Mouse-Boy. This kind of cat-and mouse game gets no respect,” said Snowbell. “No problem, Snow,” said Stuart. (337 words)

Mirror Island

Chip was in his bedroom and he was busy drawing. then Wilf and Wilma come. Chip showed them his drawing. He made a pattern. “What is it?” asked Wilf. “Come up to my woom, ” said Chip. “Then I can show you.” Chip put a mirror on the paper and the pattern said “Chip” in mirror writing.. Chip's sister Bill wanted to do some mirror writing but Chip had run out of paper. That's why Biff went to her room to get some paper. The magic key was glowing. It was time for an adventure. “Come here everybody!” she called them. The magic took them to an island “We have been here before and we met some pirates,” said Wilma and Wilf. In the sand, there were some footprints. That was to say there must be someone on the island. “There he is.” “He looks fierce, run for it!” said Biff, and they began to run. “Stop! Come back!” called the man. “Do I frighten you?” asked the man. “Yes, you look so fierce and you have such long hair,” said Biff. “I don't look that bad, do I?” asked the man. So Chip gave him the mirror. The man looked in it. “Oh no! I look terrible! No wonder you were frightend.” He screamed and began to cry. The man's name was Captain Crow and he had a treasure map. But he couldn't understand it. “I think I understand it. It is in mirror writing!” said Chip. Finally, thanks to Chip, they could got treasure. (257 words)

I can't sleep!

Good evening. Today I had the Listening test. It was difficult for me and I couldn't do my best. On Saturday, I will have the Speaking test, so I want to do my best on the test! After the school I had a part-time job from 6:00 p.m. to 11:00 p.m. It was too hard! When I strated a job, there were so many customers in my store. Now, I have to write a report of Bunka jinrui gaku. I don't good at writing a report, so I need time so much! I think I can't have enough sleep tonight. I want to sleep by nooooooow!!!! (107 words)

BADMINTON

Good evening! Today I played badminton at junior badminton club with my sister Chisato and my friend Reina. From I was a elementary school student to a junior hogh school student, I belonged to this club. When I was a member of this club, I had practices forth a week and they were so hard, but always I felt pleasure because all practices were developed my skill.

It has been five years since I have retired this club, but a club manager and all coaches still remember me, so I feel so happy! Now, the club have practices on Monday, Wednesday, Friday and Saturday, but Saturday is biweekly. I don't have a part-time job in every Monday so I go to there to practice and enjoy badminton with my sister and my friend. Now I play badminton once a week so always I have a muscle pain after played and it is painful for me, but also it tells me that you lack for excercises. Next time is day after tomorrow and I can't wait it!

Where is my Minnie???

Hello. Today is too hot!!! I must walk from the station to KGU and my house, and this walking made me slightly sweaty. It is not good for me! (^^;)
By the way, Unfortunately, I lost my cell phone's strap!!!!! It shaped like a Minnie Mouse of Disney. It is my favorite strap, so I was shocked so much. When I left classroom 433, still I had it but when I walked in front of Kumamoto High School, I didn't have it. If you find it please tell me! (88 words)

Ohsyo

Do you know Ohsyo? It is a restaurant and famous for Gyoza. I had never been to Ohsyo, so I wanted to go there someday. But yesterday I went there in Chikami with my family. When we arrived there, many customer were waiting. We ate many dishes, for example, Gyoza, Ebi-mayo, Tenshin-han, Mabo-dohu, Gomoku-soba, Buta-kimuchi, Syoronpo, Harumaki, Karaage, and so on. These were very cheap, but so good! I was liked Ebimayo so much. I want to go there again and eat other dishes. (84 words/6108 words)

Typing Test

I will talk about my this summer vacation's plan. In this summer, I will go to Tokyo with my sister and my friend. The friend who go to Tokyo together is Shizuho. She is as old as I am, and she lives in Hyogo prefecture. We are going to go to Tokyo by the Shinkansen. It takes about 5 hours to Tokyo, so I must be feel tire, but this way is cheaper than use the airplane. So we decided to use the Shinkansen. We want to go many places, for example, Harazyuku, Shibuya, Odaiba and so on. In Harazyuku and Shibuya, we want to go shopping. (107 words)

Today I had a Writing Ⅲ calss, so I met many friends. When the class ended I taked with Ayami, Mai and Haruna. We promised that we're going to eat Monjayaki together some other time. I love Monjayaki, so I can't wait!!! Ayami and Haruna have never eaten it, but I'm sure they will be liked it. I hope that this day will come soon! (65 words)

The place I like in Kumamoto is my hometown Matsubase. Mastubase has lots of welfare institutions, so I think Matsubase is comfortable town. Also Matsubase is full of greenery and flowers. In every April, the Flower Festival is held at Okadakeyama. This festival is so beautiful and many people comes this festival, so it warms up so mush. If you come to Matsubase, I will guide you. Yesterday

Yesterday, I told with my friend Shizuho with cell phone. Shizuho lives in Hyogo prefecture and she is as old as I am. We told about the trip of this summer vacation. On the end of August, we will go to Tokyo, so we have to decide hotel and transport. We decided to go to Tokyo by Shinkansen. It takes about 5 hours to Tokyo, I  must be feel so tire, but it is the cheapest. After that, I told with another my friend Miho. She lives in Chiba prefecture and she is younger than I am by 5 years, but she is a very  massive person, so I really trust and respect for her. (117 words)

The Treasure Chest

Every week Mrs May took some of the children to the swimming pool and the children were good swimmer and they liked going with Mrs May. One day, the children were taking a swimming test. They had to swim ten lengths and everyone passed the test, so the children and Mrs May was very pleased. Biff and Chip told Mum and Dad about swimming test. Mum and Dad werevery pleased too. Mum and Dad had a surprise for them. “It's a fish tank,” said Biff. “What a lovely surprise!” Everyone looked at the fish swimming about in the tank. However they feel that it needs more fish and thier room, so they are going to go shopping to get some. The next day, they went shopping. Dad put some more fish in the tank. He put rocks on the bottom. Next to the rocks he put a ship and little box. “It looks lovely. I wish I could swim in there,” said Wilma. They went to play in Biff's room and Chip ran in with the magic key. “It's time for an adventure.” The magic took them underwater. The children had masks and flippers and tanks of air. They could swim underwater. “This is better than the pool,” thought Chip and “I feel like a fish,” thought Wilma. The children loved swimming and it was lovely to see all the fish and to swim with them. They saw a ship under the water. It was an old ship that had been under the water for a long time and it looked very dangerous. Then they saw an octopus. It was sitting on a chest, so they couldn't look inside. They blew bubbles at the octopus because the octopus didn't like the bubbles, so it swam away. “Now we can look inside!” The children opened up the chest and looked inside. Surprisingly, it was a treasure chest and it was full of gold! Each picked thing they liked. Biff and Nadim were busy looking at the treasure, but then a shark was comming. The children were frightened. They swam and swam but the shark swam after them. Luckily, then the magic key began to glow and it took them out of the adventure. “Wow! What an adventure! The treasure chest waslike the one in our fish tank,” said Biff. The children ran to look in the fish tank. “It's magic!!” said Biff. (401 words/5623 words)

Comming Summer!
